Got sick of typing this for every image so here is the gear I’m using to take these photos:
1. Planewave CDK 20″, with Silica primary mirror.
2. Astrodon Filters, LRGB, IR, and for narrowbands 3nm HA, SII, OIII
3. Ultrastar for guiding
4. FLI Proline 16803
5. Maxim DL for photos and guiding.
6. FocusMax 4 for focusing.
7. Planewave Ascension HR 200 Mount
8. Astrodon MMOAG
9. Planewave Rotator, Focuser – IRF 90
10. Hendrick heated USB Hub
Field of view is 0.61 x 0.61 degrees, 1.08 arcsec/pixel.
All of course hosted at iTelescope.net
NGC 3579 (and friends) in narrowband – hubble pallette. Gear is found here, 900 Sec subs (8 each filter) 2×2 bin @ -20C.
Processed in PixInsight – still have my “L” plates on.
So while the moon is near full and destroying all my photos I thought Id take a pic of it.
This one is with the usual Planewave, FLI, 1×1 bin, -20 C, but the subs are each 0.5 seconds with Ha, SII and OIII 3nm filters combined (only 1 per filter) to give RGB, weird I know but I was playing. Note that some of the subs are still so bright the max’ed out the sensor, check out the very bright white spots for this effect.
M104 taken @ iTelescope.net in Siding Springs. 31 million light years away (give or take).
The gear used to take this is found here
LRGB 300 seconds each sub @ -20 ℃, 2×2 bin, 8 subs per filter. Processed in PixInsight (for which I’ve still have my L’s on).
